Celebrating the End of the School Year with Fun and Music at The Piano Room!

As the school year came to a close, I wanted to celebrate my students' hard work and achievements with a special workshop at The Piano Room. It was an exciting morning filled with music, laughter, and exciting activities to kick off the summer in style!

The workshop began with a series of performances by our talented students. Each student showcased a piece they had been practicing, sharing their progress with their supportive peers.

After the performances, we moved on to engaging and interactive games designed to enhance musical skills while ensuring everyone had FUN! We also decorated surf boards and drummed along to the summer favorite, "Wipe Out". Bucket drumming is an excellent way to improve students' sense of timing and coordination in a lively, fun way!

Throughout the month of June, students worked together to compose an original piece of music called "Surf's Up". Hearing the final composition performed by its creators was such a proud moment for everyone involved. It came out AMAZING!!

Be sure to check out the video below to enjoy some highlights, including their collaborative composition performance.

The energy and enthusiasm throughout the day was the perfect way to welcome summer.

Thank you to all the students for their hard work, and to the parents for their continuous support. We're excited for the many more musical adventures that lie ahead.

Hooray for summer!!!
