Yesterday marked the end of our 2nd Annual Music Camp at The Piano Room. The two weeks flew by in a flash, and I’m really going to miss all the fun and laughter we shared! This camp was filled with creative activities, engaging lessons, and lots of FUN, providing our students with a truly unique and enriching experience!
I’m excited to share some highlights throughout a few blogs with videos. A full video recap of our two weeks will be coming soon, so stay tuned!
Finger Numbers Fun: We focused on teaching and reinforcing finger numbers in fun and creative ways! We used colorful rings, engaging books, playful bubbles, and Playdoh to make learning finger numbers an exciting adventure. Check out the video below to see how much fun the kids had!
Outdoor Music Lessons: We took full advantage of our sunny camp days by taking our lessons outdoors! Each activity was designed to be both fun and educational, reinforcing our students’ music theory knowledge in a lively and engaging environment. Enjoy this video of our outdoor lessons!
Charlie the Chipmunk’s Visit: A special highlight was the visit from Charlie the Chipmunk, who brought an extra dose of music magic to our camp! Bravo to the campers on their first day of ensemble practice, with Charlie “Climbing Up” the oak tree. Watch this video to hear the fun song!
Ensemble Practice: Finally, enjoy this video of our students practicing “Etude” by Duvernoy, arranged by Dorla Aparicio for a piano ensemble. I’m so proud of their progress and hard work throughout the camp!
Thank you to all the campers, parents, and supporters for making this year’s music camp so memorable. Your dedication and enthusiasm are what make The Piano Room a wonderful place to learn and grow. Here's to many more musical adventures together!
Stay tuned for more videos from our music camp, and keep an eye out for the full two-week recap coming soon. These videos are just a glimpse of the amazing experiences we shared and the musical growth our students achieved.
