St. Patrick's Day Workshop - March 15, 5:00-6:30  Come join us as students share their current musical selections and we celebrate St. Patrick's Day! Students are welcome to wear green to keep in the spirit! Pizza will be served.

Annual National Piano Playing Guild Auditions - Date and Location TBA; Auditions will be held in the late Spring and are open to students of all levels. Additional details coming soon.

 

NJMTA 2024 Children Helping Children Performathon March 3 and March 10, 2024; Time: TBD (Recitals run 2 pm-7:30 pm) The Arts Council of Princeton, NJ. This exciting event is an opportunity for students of all levels and ages to perform for both artistic enrichment and community service while helping raise money for Homefront's Mission, "Joy, Hopes and Dreams". Through this program, after school, weekend and summer activities and experiences will be brough to homeless children for tutoring, music, art, theater and sports. Piano Marvel Annual YouTube Competition - Create a video of yourself performing a piece for a chance to win cash prizes, an iPad, or Piano Marvel merch! This is a fun and creative event open to students ages 5 and up. Videos can be edited and include costumes, ensembles, special effects, etc. to create an entertaining video! Registration opens February 1, 2024. Registration and Submission deadline is February 28, 2024. See Ms. Toni for more details if interested!

 

Holiday Workshop - December 29, 2023; 5-7 pm. Come join us as students share their holiday songs and spread festive cheer! Fun games and pizza for all! Students are welcome to wear Christmas colors, pjs, or anything festive if they'd like!

 

Music-Fest Winter Carnival Recital - December 17, 2023; Time: TBA. Princeton University, Miller Hall. This concert will provide students an opportunity to try out their holiday songs before a friendly audience. Duets and chamber music are welcome. In the spirit of the season, each performer will receive a holiday gift and the chance to win a prize during the special raffle! Please contact Ms. Toni for more details if interested. Application deadline is December 3.

 

Pizza Party  - November 19, 2023; 5-6:30 pm. It's time to celebrate all the students finishing their practice charts!! Come join us for pizza, games and fun! 

 

Monster Concert - January 14, 2024; 2:00 pm. (Mandatory Rehearsal - January 13, 2024; Time TBD) Brookdale Community College Performing Arts Center, Lincroft. This event gives students (ages 8+) the opportunity to perform in The Cecilian Music Club's 24th Annual Monster Concert, a grand piano extravaganza with 16 grand pianos performing on stage at the same time! Each performer will receive a medal and a certificate of participation. Please contact Ms. Toni if interested for more details. Application deadline is October 30.

 

Halloween Party October 22, 2023; 2-5 pm. Come join us for our annual Halloween party!  Wear your Halloween costume and listen to students' spooky Halloween songs, go on a scavenger hunt and help your team build a scarecrow. Lots of fun games and prizes!

Back to School Workshop August 25, 2023; 2-4 pm. It's that time of year again! We're starting off the new school year with music, composing and games!! Can't wait to see everyone there! 

 

Summer Workshop June 11, 2023; 10-12 pm.  We're kicking off summer with a fun workshop to celebrate the end of the school year! Students will share their musical selections and participate in exciting games and activities. Hooray for summer!!

Valentine's Workshop February 25, 2023; 4-6 pm.  Come hear students' current musical selections, participate in exciting musical games and meet new friends! We will also break into teams to compose original Valentine's songs. Lots of fun to celebrate the month of love!

SMEA 2023 Student Evaluation Program Saturday, February 25th or Sunday, 26th, 2023. Time: TBD The SMEA Student Evaluation Program is an opportunity for well-prepared piano students of ALL levels to be evaluated in an informal setting. Students shall receive positive and encouraging comments and suggestions from the adjudicator through a written evaluation as well as a mini master class conducted by the adjudicator.​ All students will receive a certificate for participating in the evaluation. Additionally, students may be awarded with one of the following: Gold Medal - memorized and performed with distinction. Silver Medal - memorized and performed with merit. Students who receive Gold Medals for a total of 5 and 7 years will earn a trophy. Those who have 10 years of Gold Medals will receive a plaque. High School Seniors with 8 or 9 years of Gold Medals will receive a plaque as well. All students who receive Gold Medals, trophies and plaques are invited to perform in an Awards Recital on Sunday, March 26, 2023. Time: 2:00 pm Location: TBA​. Piano Marvel Christmas Challenge - The Piano Room is joining Piano Marvel in the 2022 Christmas Challenge. For every Christmas song that a student earns a golden ticket (scoring 96% or higher), we are helping those in need by earning donations towards three wonderful charitable organizations this Christmas Season. Experience the joy of giving as we work as a team to make a difference for disadvantaged youth.

Steinway & Sons Factory Tour - April 18, 2020. 8 am - 4 pm. Students and families are invited to join Jacobs Pianos of Shrewsbury for an amazing Steinway & Sons Factory Tour. All with have the opportunity to see the world's #1 all American hand crafted piano built right before your eyes! You will also enjoy lunch at the Steinway & Sons factory and see "The Vault"! There is limited seating, so please contact Mrs. Adams if interested in attending this rare and exciting event! 


Monster Concert - January 19, 2020; 2:00 and 4:30 pm. Brookdale Community College Performing Arts Center, Lincroft. This event gives students (ages 8+) the opportunity to perform in the 22nd Annual Cecilian Monster Concert, a grand piano extravaganza with 16 grand pianos performing on stage at the same time! Each performer will receive a medal and a certificate of participation. Due to the popularity of this event, students will be accommodated on the first-come, first serve basis so early registrations is encouraged. Please contact Mrs. Adams if interested for more details. Application deadline is October 15.

Inter District Piano Day - November 20, 2018; Red Bank Regional High School. Pianists grades 7-12 at all levels of playing ability are invited to be a part of this exciting day devoted to all styles of piano music. It all happens November 20th with registration 9:30-10 AM, followed by a recital, master classes and of course pizza! Students may sign up to perform in the recital or master classes, if they choose. This year there will be 2 guest artists who will guide students in playing jazz chords, reading from a lead sheet, some new classical techniques and learning about careers for pianists. In addition, Jacobs Music is bringing the piano of Vladimir Horowitz on which students can perform. (Wow!!) Please contact Mrs. Adams if interested for details. 
 

Summer Camp - Come join us for an exciting 2017 summer ensemble/duet camp! We will be learning one group piece and then I'll pair off students for additional duets. This will help strengthen note reading and rhythm skills, all while having fun! Classes will be held on the weekends, starting July 15th. Please contact Mrs. Adams if interested for additional details.

Piano Field Trip - May 6, 2017; 7:00 pm, Monmouth University Pollak Theatre. Come join us for a night out at Monmouth University, where the PIANO is the main attraction! Featuring young all star prodigies and Norman Seldin with Vance Villastrigo on Dueling Pianos! From Bach to Rock and Jazz to Ragtime, the keys will sizzle from start to finish!

Sounds of Music Recital - June 10, 2017; Princeton University, Scheide Hall . This recital will provide students another great opportunity to practice performing in front of a friendly and welcoming audience, gaining confidence and experience!  Application deadline is May 15.
 

Piano Recital - July 1, 2017; 11:00 am Ocean Township Library, Terner House. (The Terner House is located in the mansion adjacent and connected to the Ocean Township Library.) "Books to Beethoven" -  come join us for beautiful music to start your day! Selected solo and ensemble works to be performed by our talented students!
