MAKE
UP LESSON POLICY:
Tuition will be billed bi-monthly (every 8 weeks) and every student will
be allowed one make up lesson per pay period.
(There will be no makeup lessons offered for this session.) Thank you
for your cooperation.

Stokes Forest Music Camp!!!

fun this summer.... while growing as a musician .... check out
the music camp at Stokes Forest~
I encourage any interested students (10 years and older) to come and spend
two weeks
camping and fusing the best of two worlds: music and nature.
It is a unique camping experience sponsored by the Preparatory Center
of the Arts
of Montclair State University along with the New Jersey School of Conservation.

2008 Annual Piano Student Evaluations
Date:

Time: Individual performance times will be given once all entries
are received
Location: TBA
Purpose: To provide an opportunity for musical growth through evaluation
and encouragement
Eligibility:
Students of all ages and levels are invited to audition
Repertoire: Varies depending upon student. (See Mrs. Adams for
details)
Registration Fee: $25 - $35 depending upon time block assigned.
Deadline: March 31, 2008
2008 National Guild Auditions
Date:
TBA
(May 12-20)
Time: Individual
audition times will be given once all entries are received
Location: Rumson
Presbyterian Church
Purpose: To provide an opportunity for musical growth through evaluation
and encouragement
Eligibility: Students of all ages and levels are encouraged to
audition
Repertoire:Varies depending upon student. (See Mrs. Adams for details)
Registration Fee: $17.25 - $22.50 depending upon amount of pieces
performed
Deadline: April 15, 2008
All awards and medals for participation in the above
events
will be presented at our annual Spring Recital
Congratulations
and special thanks to the Piano Room students
who participated in the "Play for Peace" Performathon
at the Kimmel Center in Philadelphia.

students who competed in the 2004 Fair Haven Guild Audition scored grades
ranking Superior Plus! This is the highest ranking possible and this puts
all of those Piano Room students at the TOP-TALENT CIRCLE
RATING:
"pupil's preparation shows he/she is adequately equipped musically
and technically
to appear before
any audience anywhere,
even with newspaper critics in the audience to critique their virtues to
the world!"
Thank you to all of those students who participated in
the Fair Haven Guild Auditions for your hard work and practice - It really
paid off!
I am so proud of each and every one of you!!

Julia
Kelly places 3rd in Star Search!
Congrats
to our rising star, Julia Kelly!
On May 11, 2002, Julia competed in the solo piano division for the the Salvation Army Star Search competition. All students competing within her category were to perform the selected piece, 'On We March,' arranged for piano. As usual, Julia performed beautifully and received 3rd place for her hard work. She then also went on to compete in the territorial division for the junior choir division at the Meadowlands. Wow!

On December 9, 2001
some of our own students came together with other students from the studios
of Janet Alessi
and of Kristine Alessi to benefit the World Trade Center tragedy. The
World Trade Center Benefit Recital raised over $400!
Donations:
$185 to the Connolly family of Wall Township
$180 to the Windows of Hope Family Relief Fund
$75 to Rumson Presbyterian Church
